Dr. Jennifer Duimering is an urgent care optometrist at the Ocular Health Centre.
She received both her Doctor of Optometry degree (Dean’s Honours List) and Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo. During her studies, she was recognized for clinical excellence, receiving the J.C. Thompson Memorial Prize for Optometry and the AAOF Award of Excellence in Contact Lens Patient Care.
Dr. Duimering has also completed a Fellowship with the Canadian College of Specialties in Optometry (CCSO), with a focus on ocular disease. This additional training supports her work in diagnosing and managing a wide range of complex eye conditions and ocular emergencies.
She is dedicated to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care and values the opportunity to support patients through both acute and chronic eye health concerns in partnership with the Centre’s ophthalmologists.
At OHC we have a collaborative approach to patient care between optometry and ophthalmology. When presenting with acute care concerns you will likely be seen by Dr. Duimering or one of our other urgent care optometrists in consultation with our ophthalmologists. This facilitates a more efficient, higher quality patient care and overall experience. We look forward to serving your eye care needs.
